HIAS PA is seeing current clients by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call 215-832-0900.

Intake will be closed during the weeks of December 22nd and December 29th, with the exception of those seeking help for naturalization cases.

Intake will reopen for all cases on Wednesday, January 8th.

To access our services, call us during our intake hours on Wednesdays from 9:30AM to 12PM and Thursdays from 2PM to 4:30PM at (215) 832-0900.

 

Asylum: If you recently received asylum—that is, if you HAVE ASYLUM ALREADY—please call or text (833) 344 2772. Don’t have asylum? Call our hotline at (215) 832-0900 to find out how we can help you.

Emergency referrals from service providers: If you are referring urgent cases for HIAS PA services from a nonprofit, hospital, or other organization, please email HIAS PA’s Intake program at intake@hiaspa.org.

Immigrant Youth: If you are a service provider referring an immigrant youth under age 18 for legal services, please complete our referral form. Learn more about our Immigrant Youth Advocacy Program. If you have questions, please email YouthAdvocacy@hiaspa.org.

Eligibility Requirements

HIAS Pennsylvania works with low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees.

Eligibility criteria and prioritization for legal representation include:

  • Income: Services are generally targeted to families and individuals who have an annual income of less than 187.5% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • Expertise: Services are targeted towards those who fall under our expertise.
  • Vulnerability: Services prioritize those most vulnerable (experiencing homelessness, etc.). Services also target those in removal proceedings.
