Spread the Love: Donate to the Immigrant Relief Fund Today!

Dear HIAS PA Supporter,

In four days we’ll be celebrating Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to expressing your love for those around you. Today, we’re asking you to spread the love to those who have been actively left behind and excluded from all stimulus relief by donating to HIAS Pennsylvania’s Immigrant Relief Fund. People like Pilar.

When her mother contracted COVID-19, Pilar’s world was falling apart. As a pregnant stay-at-home mother, Pilar was scared for her mother and scared about her own health and the health of her baby. In addition, her mother’s illness caused her to lose her job cleaning houses, so Pilar and her family lost an important source of income. When her mother began recovering and her baby was born, Pilar had to face the growing pile of medical bills.

Pilar and other immigrants like her need your help to meet the crises brought on by the pandemic. Your support ensures that Pilar has access to cash to pay her bills now, and case management support that will connect her to more permanent resources in the future.

If you have the means, please take this opportunity to donate your stimulus check to those left behind by our government — many of whom are on the front lines of this crisis.

As always, thank you for your continued support of immigrants and refugees in the Philadelphia community. We could not be more grateful.

In health,

Cathryn Miller-Wilson

P.S. If you have the ability, please consider donating some or all of your stimulus money to the Immigrant Relief Fund so that the most vulnerable have income support to weather the crises brought on by the pandemic.
