Klasko Scholarship
Thanks to a generous donation from Ron Klasko, HIAS Pennsylvania will be able to provide two students with $3,000 scholarships for Fall 2020, which can be renewed for up to four years!
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a HIAS PA client
- Must be starting a higher education program in Summer/Fall 2020
- Must be willing to meet with a HIAS PA volunteer 3-4 times in spring 2020 to talk about their college plans
Right now, we’re just asking for students to fill out the interest form here. Students must fill out an interest form by Dec. 31st in order to apply in January–it only has 7 simple questions!
The application will be available in January and will be due in February.
Other Scholarship Opportunities
Sharemoney, a company passionate about improving the lives of immigrants, is offering a $1000 scholarship to one immigrant who plans to attend Rutgers University.
Eligibility Requirements/Application Process:
- Open to first- and second-generation immigrants attending Rutgers University in the fall
- A simple application
- Finalists will write a 1000-word essay
The application is due in August, and the winner will be announced in November.
