We Hold These Truths: Screening and Talkback

The new PBS documentary We Hold These Truths explores the influence of America’s Declaration of Independence. This one document inspired over 100 nations around the world to seek their own independence.
Join HIAS Pennsylvania, WHYY News’ Community & Engagement team, and N.I.C.E. (News & Information Community Exchange) partner Friends Peace and Sanctuary Journal for a screening and community discussion with residents who have immigrated to the U.S. about their lived experiences, their search for freedom, and whether the founding fathers’ ideals have been actualized.
The screening will be held on Thursday, October 26th, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. It will be held in HIAS Pennsylvania’s office at 600 Chestnut Street, Suite 500B, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
