Philadelphia Rise for Refuge Protest

Sunday, August 4, 2019, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia, 19103 United States

As the administration takes steps to bar virtually all refugees from seeking asylum at the southern border, reports from Washington indicate that the administration is considering setting the refugee cap at ZERO this coming fiscal year, collapsing the US refugee Resettlement Program and breaking our promise to the world. We need your help!

Join us to protest!

Join us Sunday, August 4th at 11am at Rittenhouse Square to join the national movement to Rise Up for Refuge. We will hear refugees speak about their experience and then march to City Hall.

We are demanding that Congress:

  1. Save the Life-saving Refugee Resettlement Program
  2. Stop the Asylum Ban and Protect Asylum Seekers
  3. Keep Families Together and End Child & Family Detention
  4. Cut Funding that Fuels Deportations, Detention, Border Militarization
  5. Protect Refugee and Immigrant Families from Prolonged Separation
