Rachel Aistrop is the Adult Education Lead Instructor at HIAS PA. In this role, Rachel teaches the beginner and advanced English classes for adults. Additionally, she manages the volunteer tutor program and supports other English teachers in the program with curriculum design and administration of the adult English program. Before completing her TESOL certification, she achieved a B.A in Spanish from Temple University and an M.A in Global Migration and Policy from Tel Aviv University. It was in South Tel Aviv where Rachel discovered both her passion for teaching and her interest in serving and empowering refugee and asylum-seeking communities. Rachel is thrilled to be a part of HIAS PA where she can continue to help increase access to opportunity and self-determination by way of the English language.
