Michael Hannum, Esq.
Michael joined HIAS Pennsylvania in 2023 as an Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC) Fellow representing unaccompanied youth. He received a B.A. in Spanish from Gettysburg College, and his Juris Doctorate from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law where he was Lead Research Editor for the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal. Prior to law school, Michael advocated for migrant workers’ children throughout Pennsylvania at the Migrant Education Program of PA; an experience that inspired his passion for immigrant rights.
Michael has previously interned with immigration legal teams at Nationalities Service Center, HIAS Pennsylvania, and the law firm of Palladino, Isbell & Casazza. He was a Fulbright Scholar, has traveled extensively, lived in three foreign countries, and speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Michael is a born-and-raised Philadelphian who is proud to welcome his clients to the area.
