Julie Burnett
Julie Burnett is the Immigrant Youth Advocacy Case Manager at HIAS Pennsylvania. In this position she connects clients to resources and benefits that will improve their quality of life in the United States. Prior to joining HIAS PA, Julie assisted unaccompanied migrant youth at an emergency shelter on the border where she created resources for indigenous children. She also has experience assisting migrants detained by ICE in their immigration cases and their release from detention. Julie is committed to this work and passionately believes migration to be a fundamental human right.
Julie graduated from Miami University with a degree in Kinesiology as well as a degree in Latin American Studies. After graduating she worked in Colombia and South Korea as an ESL teacher. She loves fresh fruit juice, nature, painting, and knitting.
