Janelle Ellis

Janelle was born and raised in a Jamaican immigrant family. As a first-generation Jamaican-American, the experiences of her family members and friends motivated her to pursue a career in immigration law. Janelle graduated from Villanova University in 2022 with a B.A. in Criminology and a minor in Spanish. During her time at Villanova, she had the opportunity to participate in internships and organizations that focused on educating the public on immigration law and providing legal services to those in need. Janelle looks forward to serving the immigrant community here in Pennsylvania and learning from her incredibly dedicated and passionate colleagues at HIAS Pennsylvania.
