Eliana Stanislawski

Eliana is the Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor and Citizenship Instruction Coordinator at HIAS PA. In this capacity, they teach multiple ESL levels, support curriculum development, and assist in PCAN coordination. Prior to working at HIAS PA, Eliana was the Family Literacy Academic Instructor at the Nationalities Service Center. Eliana is currently pursuing their MSEd in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Temple University, and they hold a BA in International Development and Social Change with a specialization in migration and refugee studies from Clark University.
Eliana discovered their love of teaching in immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeker communities while supporting refugees from Myanmar by running an after-school program and providing community advocacy services, as well as serving as an adult ESL instructor at the Worcester Adult Learning Center and Worcester State University’s Urban Action Institute.
