Aminata Keita

Aminata Keita is a Refugee Case Aide at HIAS Pennsylvania. Originally from Conakry, Guinea, in West Africa, Aminata moved to the USA in 2017 from Montreal, Canada. She speaks Mandingo, Susu, French, and English. Aminata has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Montreal, and has a high interest in international relations.

She spent more than nine years working for the National Bank of Canada, and saw it as an opportunity to find her passion in customer service and build trust in relationships. Passionate about helping others, Aminata has been volunteering since she came to the USA for the Free Library of Philadelphia and for HIAS Pennsylvania. She also participated in the Immigrant Leadership Institute at the Welcoming Center. This program promotes immigrants’ integration into city life. Aminata also provided voter support during the 2020 elections.
