June 20th is World Refugee Day. Please join us for a panel discussion and screening of the documentary “The Elephants and the Grass”. The film is about a mother and daughter’s harrowing journey fleeing civil war in South Sudan, in search of safety.

This event will be held at the BOK Building Auditorium at 800 Mifflin Street in Philadelphia. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the event will begin at 5:30 PM. Tickets are free and light refreshments will be provided.

This event will be co-hosted by HIAS Pennsylvania, Bethany Christian Services, Catholic Social Services, Nationalities Service Center, NSC, and the City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs. Each of these organizations, as well as other organizations that serve refugees and immigrants, will have information and resources available at tables.
