Substantive Training in Asylum Law
As a result of the recent crises in Afghanistan and Haiti, HIAS Pennsylvania’s need for pro bono attorneys is greater than ever before. On October 28, 2021 HIAS PA will hold its semi-annual Substantive Training in Asylum Law from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. To register for the training, please click here.
Topics to be covered at this training will include the definition of asylum, the legal requirements for seeking asylum, and the standards of proof that apply to asylum applications. This training, along with several other substantive trainings, is designed to equip participants to represent asylum-seeking clients.
