HIAS PA January Training on Afghan Asylum Representation
On January 20 from 12 – 1:30 PM ET HIAS PA will hold a training on representing Afghan clients who are seeking asylum. To register for the training click here.
The January training will address:
– Recent experiences of Afghan parolees;
– Legal issues specific to Afghan parolees and asylum seekers;
– HIAS PA’s plans to train and support pro bono attorneys representing Afghan asylum seekers;
– Additional resources available for pro bono attorneys representing Afghan asylum seekers.
PLEASE NOTE: The January training will not include a detailed discussion of asylum law or best practices in representing asylum seekers. For attorneys who are interested in representing Afghan asylum seekers and who have limited experience with asylum law, we recommend reviewing the following pre-recorded trainings and documents:
