HIAS PA Goes to Harrisburg!

On December 14th, YOU can have a direct impact on the daily lives of immigrants. Advocate for driver’s licenses and tuition equity for undocumented immigrants in Harrisburg with HIAS Pennsylvania and the Driving PA Forward coalition. HIAS Pennsylvania staff will leave for a march to the steps of the capitol in Harrisburg on the 6:20AM Amtrak from 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, or you can join us on your own!

The march begins at 9AM, and should end by 1PM. Participants should meet on the steps of the capitol at 9AM for the start of the march. If you are interested in attending, please contact HIAS PA’s Co-Director of Legal Services, Philippe Weisz, at pweisz@hiaspa.org.

Can’t make it in person?

  • Please write two letters, one to your local Representative (find your local Representative’s contact information here) and one to Representative Tim Hennessey (R), the PA Transportation Committee Chair (contact information here).   • Finished letters may be sent electronically to HIAS PA volunteer, Jordan Cole, at jcole732@gmail.com
  • The deadline to send the letters electronically to Jordan is December 12th.
