HIAS PA Asylum Law Training Part 3 – Asylum Officer Perspectives
On December 2, from 12PM-1:30PM, HIAS Pennsylvania will host a presentation by asylum officers from the Newark New Jersey office of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
The asylum officers will offer their perspectives on how to present an effective affirmative application for asylum and how attorneys can best prepare their clients for their asylum interviews.
The USCIS presentation will be followed by a presentation on the Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience, the only program in Philadelphia that is designed to meet the multifaceted needs of survivors of torture.
This program will provide 1.5 CLE credits. *Note, the 12/2 program is tentatively scheduled, pending confirmation by USCIS.*
