Maria Castro

Maria joined HIAS Pennsylvania in January of 2024 as an Asylee Outreach Program Legal Advocate. Prior to joining HIAS PA, Maria interned with the legal department of the International Rescue Committee in Baltimore and worked as a paralegal for a private immigration law firm in Philadelphia. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Maria graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s in International and Global Studies.
