Lisa Lamboy is the Community Engagement Assistant at HIAS Pennsylvania. She assists with volunteer engagement, in-kind donations, and community events. After earning her BA from the University of Pennsylvania, Lisa volunteered for a year in Buffalo, NY, with Franciscan Volunteer Ministry. While in Buffalo, she volunteered two days a week at Vive La Casa, a shelter for those seeking asylum in Canada and the United States. Following her time in Buffalo, Lisa worked as a social worker in Philadelphia for nearly 5 years. She then volunteered for two years in Guyana, South America with Mercy Volunteer Corps where she volunteered at an orphanage and a hospital. Lisa subsequently worked for Mercy Volunteer Corps coordinating volunteers placed in Guyana, Philadelphia, and New York City.
