World Refugee Day 2022

Celebrate the refugees who make our city beautiful!

Philadelphia World Refugee Day brings refugees, immigrants, and lifelong Philadelphians together every year to celebrate the beautiful diversity of our city. As a nation, we celebrate World Refugee Day on June 20th, the date in 1951 when the immigration status of “refugee” was established.

On Sunday, June 26th, from 11AM to 2PM, join 500 of your refugee newcomer neighbors at the Philadelphia Zoo for Philadelphia World Refugee Day!

 

This year’s event will feature informational tables from various organizations around Philadelphia, including HIAS Pennsylvania, Nationalities Service Center, SEAMAAC, and more, on the Zoo’s Impala Lawn!

Advance registration is required to enter the Philadelphia Zoo.
