Immigration Legal Services
HIAS Pennsylvania works with low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees. Eligibility criteria and prioritization for legal representation include:
• Income: Services are generally targeted to families and individuals who have an annual income of less than 187.5% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
• Victims of Domestic Violence and Immigrant Youth: We help those who lack legal status and are being physically or emotionally abused by someone in their family. We also work with unaccompanied immigrant youth.
• Other factors, such as language barriers, age of applicant and situation with dependents, are taken into account when deciding whether to take a case.
If you meet our eligiblity requirements, please contact us.
We regret that we are unable to meet the needs of every immigrant who needs legal representation, even those who are otherwise eligible for our services. There are other service organizations you can contact for assistance if we are unable to assist you.
