A Special Opportunity for Those 70½ Years Old and Older
You can give directly from your IRA to a qualified charity such as HIAS Pennsylvania through a IRA charitable rollover, also referred to as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD.) For those 72 and older, your required minimum distribution (RMD) is taxable income that can also be directed to a qualified charity as a non-taxable donation.
