Miriam Pioch

Miriam Pioch is an Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ARSP) Volunteer from Germany joining HIAS PA to support two programs: Asylee Outreach Program (AOP) and Reception and Placement (R&P).  She graduated from high school in Summer 2022 and came to HIAS PA through an organization called Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ARSP).  Miriam is taking a year off to volunteer in the U.S. before starting college.  She hopes to use this gap year to assist refugees and immigrants and gain knowledge on how the U.S. supports them, and reflect on the immigration systems in Germany.
