Michelle Ferguson

Michelle serves as the Education Program Manager on the Resettlement Team.

Michelle was previously the High School and Post-Secondary Lead Instructor at HIAS PA, where she coordinated college access programming for high school students and young adults, as well as advised adults who are seeking to start or restart their higher education. She also conducted professional development trainings for teachers and other school district staff on best practices for working with multilingual students, and assisted and supported family educational needs.

Michelle received her B.A. in Linguistics and M.S.Ed in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Temple University. Michelle first became involved at HIAS PA as an intern on the Education team and has been involved ever since. She is grateful to be able to serve at HIAS PA and be a voice for immigrant and refugee students and families.
