Rachel Rutter

Rachel Rutter is an Immigrant Youth Staff Attorney at HIAS Pennsylvania. Rachel represents unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings. Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Gettysburg College in 2011. In 2016, Rachel graduated from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Prior to law school, Rachel served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica, where she taught English as a foreign language and worked on youth development projects. Since college, Rachel has created and implemented supportive programs for at-risk youth in the US and abroad. She currently runs a small non-profit, Project Libertad, dedicated to providing support to at-risk migrant students in Chester County. Rachel has lived and worked in Costa Rica, Spain, and Puerto Rico.
