Opening Doors for New Americans since 1882
Caroline Anapol serves as the Health Coordinator. She helps newly arrived refugees to get connected to the care that they need, and helps them learn how to navigate the US medical system as they become increasingly self-sufficient. In her previous position, she worked on the Preferred Communities program, providing intensive case management and extended cultural orientation to clients with extra vulnerabilities. Caroline attended George Washington University, where she studied International Development and Conflict Resolution. She first began to work with immigrant and refugee populations as a volunteer ESL teacher. She has continued to teach English to these populations and to other communities in cities and countries around the world. Most recently, she taught English to children, teens, and adults in Mohammedia, Morocco. Caroline loves working with such an interesting and diverse group of staff, volunteers, and clients at HIAS PA.
