Shaloo Jose

Shaloo Jose has a bachelor's degree in political science and a bachelor's degree in law from Delhi University, India. She practiced as an intellectual- property lawyer in India for two years before coming to the United States. She joined HIAS in 2005, first as a full-time volunteer for a year and half and then joined the staff as a Law Clerk. She handles applications for permanent residence status for asylees and refugees, travel documents, family-based petitions, naturalization, and many other matters. She is fluent in Hindi and Malayalam.
