Dina Kopansky

Dina Kopansky grew up in Philadelphia. She graduated from Masterman High School in 2007 and received her B.A. from Swarthmore College in 2011. This year she is serving as a Philly Fellow, a one-year Americorps VISTA fellowship that matches recent Philadelphia-area college graduates with capacity-building positions at Philadelphia nonprofits.

As the Refugee Housing Coordinator at HIAS Pennsylvania, Dina locates, furnishes and sets up housing for newly arrived refugee families, manages their rent and utility accounts, facilitates refugee skill-building workshops and works with landlords on everyday concerns as well as on expanding housing networks. She also coordinates HIAS Pennsylvania's in-kind donations program.
