What we Do
HIAS Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees. We assist with a variety of immigration matters, including:
- Travel documents
- Extension of Status/Change of Status
- Family Petitions
- Adjustment of Status (Green Card Applications)
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
- Representing immigrant youth in their immigration matters (SIJ)
- Applications for political asylum
- Representation in removal (deportation) proceedings
- Representing immigrant victims of domestic violence in their immigration matters (VAWA, U visas)
- Applications for victims of interpersonal violence (U Visas)
- Naturalization/Citizenship
- Replacement of Immigration documents
Unfortunately, HIAS Pennsylvania is not able to accept all cases that otherwise meet its eligibility requirements and does not provide assistance with employment-based visa petitions.
