What we Do

HIAS Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees. We assist with a variety of immigration matters, including:

  • Travel documents
  • Extension of Status/Change of Status
  • Family Petitions
  • Adjustment of Status (Green Card Applications)
  • Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
  • Representing immigrant youth in their immigration matters (SIJ)
  • Applications for political asylum
  • Representation in removal (deportation) proceedings
  • Representing immigrant victims of domestic violence in their immigration matters (VAWA, U visas)
  • Applications for victims of interpersonal violence (U Visas)
  • Naturalization/Citizenship
  • Replacement of Immigration documents

Unfortunately, HIAS Pennsylvania is not able to accept all cases that otherwise meet its eligibility requirements and does not provide assistance with employment-based visa petitions.
