HIAS Pennsylvania (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) was founded with a singular vision: to welcome new Americans, committed to the Jewish value of welcoming the stranger. We continue to work to create a welcoming and secure environment for all immigrants and their families in our state. We do this by partnering with other service providers, faith-based organizations and community groups, to ensure that all immigrants and refugees are treated with respect. (HIAS Pennsylvania was formerly known as HIAS and Council Migration Service of Philadelphia.)
