Opening Doors for New Americans since 1882
This Sunday, May 20, hundreds will unite on the West River Drive from 2-4 PM to walk 5K in solidarity with the ADL and against bigotry and hatred in our community. The ADL has been working since 1913 to stop the defamation of Jewish people and secure fair treatment for all.
This is the second annual walk - help us make it even better than the first!
This year, HIAS Pennsylvania will be there with a team of staff and refugees - find us and walk with us! We'll have an international team with four refugees from Darfur who arrived in the past three months, our Haitian Health Corps member, our Refugee Case Manager, Bhutanese Nepalese and four other Bhutanese Nepalese. These refugees are quite new to Philadelphia and had to flee their country due to ethnic cleansing.
The more people we can bring, the merrier! If you'd like to join the HIAS Pennsylvania team, contact Marisa Falcon.
