Join us in support of our friends and allies at the Philadelphia Folklore Project at 753 South 50th Street from 6-8pm for a photo exhibit curated by PFP, Asian Americans United and other partners. In December 2009, South Philadelphia High School erupted in violence against Asian American students, and as a result, dozens of the victimized students boycotted their high school and launched a civil rights campaign around a district's responsibility to provide a safe educational climate.

The Franklin Institute will have an "archeological dig" to explore and the Jewish Exponent is hosting an activity booth for adults and kids alike.

Join HIAS Pennsylvania as we WALK Against Hate with the Anti-Defamation League!
This Sunday, May 20, hundreds will unite on the West River Drive from 2-4 PM to walk 5K in solidarity with the ADL and against bigotry and hatred in our community. The ADL has been working since 1913 to stop the defamation of Jewish people and secure fair treatment for all.
This is the second annual walk - help us make it even better than the first!

Our friends at Houses on the Moon, a New York City theatre company, are bringing Tara's Crossing, a play by Emmy-nominated writer Jefferey Solomon about a transgender woman fleeing Guyana for asylum in the United States, only to end up in a government detention center. The story tracks her fight to prove her persecution and why she has fled to the United States. It was inspired by dozens of interviews with sexual minority asylum seekers in New York, Washington, DC and San Francisco.
