Caroline Anapol serves as the Refugee AmeriCorps Self-Sufficiency Coordinator. She works on the Preferred Communities program, providing intensive case management to clients with extra vulnerabilities and helping them to achieve self-sufficiency. She also works to provide clients with extended cultural orientation on subjects including health, financial literacy, and communication. Caroline attended George Washington University, where she studied International Development and Conflict Resolution. She first began to work with immigrant and refugee populations as a volunteer ESL teacher. She has continued to teach English to these populations and to other communities in cities and countries around the world. Most recently, she taught English to children, teens, and adults in Mohammedia, Morocco. Caroline loves working with such an interesting and diverse group of staff, volunteers, and clients at HIAS PA.
